About the stamp design: The portrait of Betty White based on a 2010 photo by Kwaku Alston was created digitally by Dale Stephanos. Greg Breeding designed the stamp, which pictures the star in a blue polka-dot top. The violet background with light purple bubbles captures White’s bright and joyful personality that made her a Hollywood mainstay for decades.

First Day City: The First Day Ceremony for this stamp was held at the Los Angeles Zoo and Botanical Gardens.
